Bayer Leverkusen signed South Korea Under-20 international Ryu Seung-woo on a one-year loan from K-League side Jeju United.

The Bundesliga club says it has an option to sign forward Ryu on a full contract and having passed the medical on Wednesday, he will join Sami Hyypia-coached Leverkusen at their winter break training camp in Portugal next month.

Ryu joins fellow Korean Son Heung-min at second-placed Leverkusen who are at Werder Bremen on Saturday in the Bundesliga and have drawn Paris St-Germain in the knock-out phase of the Champions League.
