Modric becomes oldest Euros goalscorer

Luka Modric became the oldest goalscorer in European Championship history in Croatia's final Group B match against Italy in Leipzig on Monday.

The Real Madrid midfielder opened the scoring in the 55th minute, less than 60 seconds after he had a penalty saved by Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Modric is 38 years and 289 days old, breaking the record set by Austrian Ivica Vastic in 2008 by 32 days.
