Man City lose Hart, Sterling in derby

Manchester City's injury jinx struck again on Sunday as Manuel Pellegrini's side lost first winger Raheem Sterling and then goalkeeper Joe Hart during the derby against Manchester United.

Sterling went off with an apparent groin injury in the 26th minute at the Etihad Stadium, while Hart had to be stretchered off after appearing to damage his calf as he made a clearance early in the second half.

The pair will both be doubts for England's forthcoming friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands, and Pellegrini faces a nervous wait to see if they will be fit to face Paris Saint-Germain in next month's Champions League quarter-final.

It was the second match in succession that City had lost two players to injury, after captain Vincent Kompany and fellow centre-back Nicolas Otamendi were forced off against Dynamo Kiev on Tuesday.

City were already missing midfielders Kevin De Bruyne, Samir Nasri and Fabian Delph due to injury.
