Brazilian Maxwell extends PSG contract

Brazil international left-back Maxwell on Thursday extended his contract with French champions Paris Saint-Germain by a year.

The 33-year-old, who joined PSG from Barcelona in 2012, is now tied down to the club until June 2016.
"Maxwell is an exceptional player who has brought a lot to this team since arriving," said PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
He has been capped 10 times by Brazil and won the French Ligue 1 title with PSG the last two seasons.
He was a Champions League winner with Barcelona in 2011 and also won two La Liga crowns with the Catalan giants.
Before that he won three Serie A titles with Inter Milan and two Dutch crowns with Ajax.
He joined the Dutch giants from Cruzeiro in his homeland in 2001 and has remained in Europe ever since.
